Perfection or Numbers Game
Scenario One
There is a set in the corner. It’s a two set and one of the girls is really cute, just the kind you like. You go in and open them and it bombs. For some reason it just didn’t go well.
Scenario Two.
You see a nice looking chick and you open her. You interact for a while, run what you know to be decent game and then go for the extraction, the number or venue change. It bombs. You just don’t like that much.
What do you do?
The temptation here is to go home and get online and read about more theory. That’s what I used to do. You start reading the archives, getting opinions, thinking about how to tweak your game so you come across differently next time. Maybe you think “of course, you shouldn’t have been so cocky, of course you should have been funnier, of course you should have gone for rapport much earlier”, and so on.
Guys, for those of us who have been reading and posting for some time now, the answer is NOT to go back and read more theory and rearrange our game. The answer is to keep moving in the field and play the numbers game.
Look, anyone who has been reading online for a while and knows the basics needs to realise it is a numbers game. Perfection is not possible, and returning to the board to become more perfect is not going to help all that much in comparison to keeping moving in the field. Accept you are not going to get every set you go for. You are not going to have every girl like you. That’s just the way it is, get used to it and accept it. No amount of reading and returning to the archives is going to help you in most cases. Some people are open to meeting, some are less friendly, some are real rude. That’s the way of the world. By the way, the rude ones are doing you a favour by showing their rudeness early on so you can eliminate them from your radar early.
What is the best thing to do? It’s to say to yourself “oh well, keep moving”. I talked about the “Wonder of Not Knowing” in a recent post. It’s time to get real and wake up to the realisation that because of the complexity of the world, you are never going to be able to control every situation you go into. If you run back to the archives every time you find something doesn’t work out perfectly, you will spend little time in the field AKA real life.
So stop making excuses to yourself if you already understand the basic theories of PU. Scurrying back to the boards when something doesn’t go 100% well is, for the most part, excusing yourself from the field by kidding yourself that you are going back to improve through more studying.
The thing to do is to just move on to the next girl you would like to meet and get talking to her. Know that it almost never works out perfectly and that it doesn’t matter. You can still get results if you keep going as far as you can with your individual target, and if it doesn’t pan out with her then there is the next one. This is what I mean when I talk about numbers game or perfection.
Perfection isn’t possible all the time, but the numbers game is. And guess what? If you are less than perfect, then playing the numbers game helps EQUALISE the odds for you. Playing the numbers game helps you airbrush over you lack of perfection because the more girls you meet and talk to, the more chance you will find a girl who is compatible to your game, the more chance you will meet a highly sexual girl who wants fun with you that very night, and the more chance you will really improve in skill because once you have the basic theories, it is the field when the real understanding comes.
I remember meeting HB Britney ages ago and she was into me immediately. This was a highly sexual girl and I did everything to her that I wanted, right down to sucking her tits in the back streets in the old part of town near the castle one night.
